Maria Sard

Maria Sard, Associate Professor, Department of Applied Economics at the University of the Balearic Islands, Spain; degrees in economics (1997) and PhD in economics and business (2006) at the same university. She is co-director of the Master in Tourism Management and Planning and member of the Consell Economic i Social of the Balearic Islands. Teaching experience in such subjects as microeconomics, macroeconomics, and tourism economics. The latest subjects taught are industrial economics in Business Administration and final projects and practicum in the Master in Tourism Management and Planning. Researcher specializing in issues related to tourism economics, especially in intermediaries and prices. She has published several papers in journals such as Tourism Management and Tourism Economics. Member of the Research group ‘Anàlisi i Modelització Econòmica.
