Llorenç Huguet Rector of Universitat de les Illes Balears, Spain

Llorenç Huguet-Rotger, Rector, Universitat de les Illes Balears, Palma de Mallorca, Spain, earned his BS in Mathematics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain, and his MS and PhD in Computer Science with honors from the University of Louvain, Belgium. He joined the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at his present university in 1990 as the Chair for Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. Among other recognitions, he is member of the Peter I Science Academy of Saint Petersburg since 2000 and has been member of the Panel of Expert Speakers of the European Commission. l.huguet@uib.es
